1. Who we are
safety-app.co.uk is run by the team behind the Safety App UK mobile app, provided by GG Straps Limited, a company incorporated in Hong Kong (“we”, “us”). We are the data controller for personal data collected through this website. Contact: ggshop@safety-app.uk.
This policy covers this website only. How the app itself handles your data is explained in the Safety App UK app privacy policy.
2. What we collect and why
We don’t ask for an account to read this website, and we don’t collect your location, contacts or any special category data through it.
3. Cookies
We only use cookies that are needed for the site to work and to remember your cookie choice. We don’t use advertising or analytics cookies. See our Cookie Policy for details and how to change your choice.
4. Who can see your data
Our web hosting provider stores the site and its server logs for us, and our email provider handles messages you send us. They act on our instructions. We don’t sell, rent or share your data with advertisers. We only share information with the police or other authorities if the law requires it.
5. International transfers
Some of our providers may process data outside the UK. Where this happens we rely on UK adequacy regulations or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum to protect it.
6. How long we keep it
- Server logs: a short period, for security and troubleshooting.
- Your cookie choice: up to 12 months, or until you clear your cookies.
- Emails: as long as needed to deal with your message, then deleted.
7. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to data portability. Email ggshop@safety-app.uk and we will reply within one month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
8. Children
This website is general information that anyone can read. We don’t knowingly collect personal data from children. If you think a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
